September 28, 2022 7 min read

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi is prevalently known as Mahatma Gandhi. He was signified as "Mahatma," which means, Great Soul, by the poet Rabindranath Tagore since his commitment to acquiring change in India was magnificent. Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated in India on October 2 annually to mark Mahatma Gandhi's birthday. He is also called the "Father of The Nation." This freedom fighter, known for wearing only a dhoti and a shawl, had said some meaningful quotes that one should know. Here are they: -

1. The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.
This quote states you can find your actual worth when you serve others for their benefit, not for your greedy purpose. Be the best individual by aiding people when they can't complete a task without anticipating any return. By being unselfish, you will know more about yourself.

2. Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.
Contentment is moderately proportionate to your perspectives, how you talk, and how you act. Happiness is an emotion that is accomplished by thinking positive contemplations, expressing positive things and doing the things that are positive for yourself and others. Negative thoughts can lead to an unhappy life. It takes away all your happiness, making you feel disheartened.

3. Be the change you wish to see in the world.
We bring you the most well-known quote that means quit offering advice and set an example for individuals. If you don't like something or are unhappy with what's happening around you, change yourself first. Demonstrate it with your talk and action rather than grumbling.

4. The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.
It takes guts to forgive somebody who has done wrong to you. Gandhiji said, forget your ego and forgive the one because the one who forgives is the strongest. Learn to move on and stroll to the next phase of your life.

5. A man is but the product of his thoughts. What he thinks, he becomes.
This quote explains how one's beliefs translate to what one becomes. If one thinks positively, it creates a sensation of yearning and trust. If one thinks adversely, it produces misery and discouragement.

6. Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.
Gandhiji's quote says that don't be scared and give a shot to new things out there. Fearing to learn and live isn't something an individual should do. Gandhi further says learning is not something uninteresting. Propel yourselves, and discover new things as if you were to die tomorrow.
